Intro

I’m an economic developer with experience in real estate, architecture, urban design, planning, sustainable tourism, and facilitation. I work nationwide while based in Birmingham, AL with a focus on projects that have positive impacts on the environment, culture, and economics of communities.

I’ve held a variety of professional positions at firms and universities including the University of Alabama, Auburn University, SOM, PJAR, and Shepley Bulfinch. I’ve been published in the book Developing Citizen Designers and Trim Tab. I also lecture frequently to community and professional organizations about the economic benefits of aspirational community development. I have also developed and taught studio and lecture classes at Auburn University, The University of Alabama at Birmingham, and The Boston Architectural College. I’m currently Board Chairman for Your Town Alabama and a member of the Complete Streets Committee for Homewood, AL. Past board experience includes time with the Cahaba River Society.
